Sitting here alone for the most part, my darling husband letting me borrow his pc since mines down at the moment. Its been a year of ups and downs. Not really sure if I broke even in the end or not. THough I am hoping that 2009 will bring changes to me, my life and everything else.
My New Years Resolution this year is to be more assertive. No more hiding when something or someone does bothers me or hurts my feelings. No idea if I can follow through with it, but I'm gonna try.
So to all my friends on here..Happy New Year I hope its a good year for everyone.

Okay if you have NOT read Wicked then I feel sorry for you. That is like the most awesome book ever. Elphaba rocks and I always felt sorry for the Wicked Witch cause that little bitch Dorothy melts her at the end of the Wizard of OZ.But this story tells the other side..Glinda that little skank was actually Elphaba's friend her real name was GAlinda. The Old Goat called her Glinda. So go get the book..and long live the Elphaba + Fiyero ship..cause honestly..Samara was bitch too.

Okay...so I wrote R. And now I dunno if I feel better or worse. So here's the deal. I wrote him this:

So I'm sitting here reading that and my minds kind of blown away. Frankly only part of that said was true. And I do have a nasty habit of smiling even when I know I'm jsut bottling up whats wrong. So I reply with:

I could really use some advice on what I should do now. He hasn't replied to that yet. I'm going to cross post on my space blog and see if I can get help from friends that aren't on LJ. I think mostly I could jsut really use a friend to talk to and tell me I did the right thing. My male friends are so clueless.

Figured it was time to update again since its been a while. Its been a rough month. My parents got hit hard with Gustav and Ike. Nasty hurricanes. Needless to say they got flooded out from all the rain and are now in the process of cleaning and figuring out of they're gonna be able to repair the damage or if it would be easier to tear everything down and rebuild from scratch. They've been staying at my uncle and aunts place. Though they started looking for a place to rent in Deville for the next three months, which is how long they're hoping it takes to get everything settled. Of course, as luck would have it they didn't have flood insurance so they don't think the house insurance will cover anything. Though they do qualify for aid from FEMA thank the gods. So, gods willing it will be enough to get something accomplished. I wish that there was something I could do to help, but with being so far away theres not really anything I can do. All I can do is keep them in my prayers and hope things work out for the best. My parents really deserve something good to happen for them soon.
In other news..expansion pack for the game I play World of Warcraft comes out in Nov. Which I have the money for that was saved to go to the movies then but the movie I was going to see got pushed back to July so that will cover my copy of the game. I'm very much looking forward to it. I've been playing beta on my husbands account, he got a key and I didn't, and it looks really awesome.
Not much else really to report. Celebrated my 5th wedding anniversary last night. Grats on the Job Nicole. I know you'll do awesome as a full time kinder teacher. Kids that age are so adorable.

We finally got a new moniter from Dell. It only took nearly two months and two false tries to get the damned thing. But my darling husband has his computer back now so I'm sure he's happy about that.
Not really all that much to report. Things are kinda quiet around here.B's grandmother is down until the end of August. So we've been entertaining her a lot, mostly Wed-Sun since his mother is off Mon-Tues. Spent some time doing some serious cleaning after I got a new/old dresser to replace my old one that was warped and some of the drawers wouldn't open on. So I got all my clothes folded and put away finally.
